Protein digestion requires an extended breakdown process. That’s why your body produces protein-digesting enzymes, called proteases, in three different regions of the digestive system.

Our enzyme blend includes three different types of proteases to support the different phases of protein digestion. We also added bromelain, a protein-digesting enzyme from pineapple, and ginger, which naturally includes a protease called zingibain.

Dairy

Sensitivity to lactose, a sugar found in milk, is one of the most common digestive complaints. Our enzyme blend includes lactase to help break down lactose into simpler sugars the body can absorb and use.

Plus, the proteases in our blend can help break down milk proteins, such as casein, to help the digestion of dairy products go more smoothly.

Fat & Oils

Fried and fatty foods can be difficult to digest, often leading to indigestion and heartburn. Our digestive enzyme blend includes lipase, an enzyme that helps break down fat and oils, which are a common part of the typical Western diet.

Our enzyme blend includes carb-digesting enzymes like amylase, glucoamylase, and maltase to help break down the starches in rice and wheat, as well as fiber-digesting enzymes like xylanase, beta glucanase, and hemicellulase to help tackle the tough fiber content in many breads and cereal grains.

Beans and nuts are rich in nutrients but can be notoriously hard to digest.
