What are ketones?

The body naturally makes ketones when fasting. They are efficient emergency fuel source that can also be ingested to achieve many ketogenic benefits. However, not all ketones are created equal. Different ketones, different results.

What is Ketohol and how does it get you buzzed?

Its scientific name is R 1,3 Butanediol, aka Diol. It metabolizes into ketones in the liver. During that process you can experience a buzzed state that is far healthier for you than alcohol. Alcohol metabolizes to super toxic acetaldehyde.

I thought ketones were for performance?

Some marketers hijack Ketone Ester data to falsely advertise Diol for performance. The truth is Diol gets you buzzed and has clinically shown nil to negative effects on performance. However, euphoria is reported. For performance get KetoneAid Ester.

Why not use sugar to make it taste better?

We value function over flavor. Sugar is an inferior food sourse, will kick you out of ketosis and is linked to many, many, many health issues. That said, Ketohol itself is inherently nasty tasting. We do a pretty good job covering it up without it.

What if I don’t feel a buzz?
